- Collect and secure the estate’s assets
- Notify institutions
- Pay outstanding debts, bills, and taxes
- Communicate regularly with beneficiaries
- Manage any trusts created in the Will
- Distribute the remaining assets according to the Will
- Provide final accounting to beneficiaries and obtain approval
