The Ferguson Deacon Taws award at Georgian College is an opportunity for the faculty to recognize a student for their hard work and dedication. This year, we received these kind words from the recipient:
“I am writing you today to thank you for your generosity. I was the recipient for the Ferguson Deacon Taws Award by faculty nomination. I am very appreciative to have been given this award as recognition for my hard work over the past two years and i will be using the award money to help fund further education. It truly is very helpful to have received some financial aid from yourself near the end of my schooling.
As a second-year law clerk student finishing up my final semester, I can say that i have learned a great deal at Georgian College thus far. I am quite eager to being my career as a law clerk, but may enroll in other courses to further the skills i have acquired. I am even looking into taking the LSAT’s at the recommendation of one of my professors.
The recognition for my hard work from both the Ferguson Deacon Taws LLP and the Georgian faculty has been absolutely rewarding and makes me feel the need to achieve further and set new goals for myself to accomplish next.
