Jennifer L.A Goldsmith, BA, JD

Jennifer graduated Cum Laude from Laurentian University with a BA in Law and Justice in 2014. She received her law degree from the University of Ottawa in 2017 and joined the predecessor firm Ferguson Barristers in 2017 as an articling student with a rotation in litigation. Upon merging with Deacon Taws, Jennifer began a rotation in real estate and estates. Following her June 2018 Call to the Ontario Bar, Jennifer joined the firm as an associate.

Prior to articling, Jennifer worked as a Financial Advisor with CIBC primarily dealing with mortgages and lending products.

Jennifer’s work consists of real estate transactions and estates work, while still maintaining an interest in various aspects of litigation including real estate litigation, estates litigation and personal injury litigation.

In 2017 Jennifer participated in the justice education program for Indigenous youth called “Dare to Dream” and looks forward to continued participation.

Jennifer is a proud member of the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations, the Barrie Real Estate Lawyers’ Association, and the Simcoe County Law Association.

A native of Orillia, Jennifer now resides in Midland with her son Aidan and is eager to get involved and give back to the community. Jennifer is an avid football fan and also enjoys singing, reading and cooking in her spare time.
