We are passionate about our community and believe that each investment we make is an investment in the future of our children.
We are very proud to have supported St. Theresa’s Catholic High School Girls Hockey Team and their road to the American Cup hockey tournament in Lake Placid, New York. The girls performed incredibly well and finished second place in the tournament that featured teams from across North America. We would like to send our congratulations to these incredible young ladies for representing Midland admirably both on and off the ice.

MIDLAND – The St. Theresa’s High School Thunder lost in a shootout in the championship game of the America Cup girls’ hockey tournament Dec. 14 in Lake Placid, N.Y.
St. Theresa’s and Haliburton were tied 1-1 after three periods, resulting in a shootout that the Thunder lost.
In earlier action, St. Theresa’s beat Lakefield College 4-1 and tied the KV Lady Crusaders from New Brunswick 0-0, despite holding a 55-1 shot advantage.
The third game was against a familiar team, Nottawasaga Pines Secondary School. The game went smoothly for the St. Theresa’s team, which came out with an easy win of 10-0.
In Game 4, the Thunder again outshot their opponents, but couldn’t get a goal, losing 2-0 to Haliburton.
St. Theresa’s netminder Robin Peddle was named best goalie in the skills competition, while Abby Dusome and Rachel McIlravey won the fastest skater relay.
