Junior Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk

Ferguson Deacon Taws LLP seeks an experienced Junior Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk. The hours of work for the position are Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm for a 35-hour workweek. The qualified candidate must be professional, very client-oriented and able to multi-task in a busy law firm.

The potential candidate would be responsible for:

Key responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure accurate coding and allocation of expenses and invoices
  • Review and post all invoices to the accounting system
  • Prepare and process cheques and process electronic/e-transfer payments
  • Ensure vendor accounts are accurate and up-to-date
  • Maintain vendor filing system
  • Reconcile monthly credit card statements
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Perform other duties as required

Education and Experience

A demonstrated proficiency in using a computer is essential with specific experience in Microsoft Office Excel, Outlook and Word and accounting software ( PC Law is beneficial)
